Meet the teacher

Dear Students and Parents,

I would love to welcome you to Irma Marsh Middle school for an exciting and eventful 8th grade year.My name is Mrs. Henson and I am your child's Language Arts teacher. I a mother of two boys. I have been happily married for seven years. When I have free time, I enjoy running on the trinity trails and keeping a healthy lifestyle. My family and I enjoy traveling and spending time together.I grew up in the North Side of Fort Worth. I graduated from Diamond Hill Jarvis High School. After high school I attended Tarrant County College where I earned my Associates degree. I graduated from The University of North Texas with a Bachelors of Science.  During the first week of school, my students will have the opportunity to cover some rules and expectations for my class and for the 15-16 school year we will be introducing Readers Workshop as well. This 8th grade year will be challenging, but these challenges will prepare the student for high school and the rest of his or her academic career.
